Zombie Apocalypse Explained
DON'T TAKE THIS BLOG POST SERIOUSLY. I POSTED THIS FOR FUN.

I love watching movies with zombie apocalypse themes like Resident Evil and Zombieland. I am not a scientist (or even a statistician for that matter) so I have no idea if there is a probability (or a possibility) that a zombie apocalypse will really happen. Lately though, there have been stories about people eating other people. And they're not the "cannibal type" of eating other people. These stories are really zombie-like attacks.
The first "zombie attack" was in Miami where a man, believed to have smoked marijuana, ate another man's face. (Read the story here: http://thegrio.com/2012/07/09/miami-zombie-attack-linked-to-cannabis-induced-psychosis/). After that first attack, more followed. There was this man in Louisiana who took a bite off his neighbor's cheek (Read the story here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/06/carl-jacquneaux-bit-a-chunk-of-victims-face_n_1574316.html). There is also this story where a man bit a chunk off another man's arm. (Read the story here: http://www.wptv.com/dpp/news/state/zombie-attacks-continue-man-under-the-influence-gets-naked-bites-off-chunk-of-mans-arm).
Since I'm Asian and I'm here in Asia, not in the US, I was not that interested in these kinds of news. But then, something happened "so close to home" that it got me thinking and rather curious about these kinds of stuff. A similar "zombie attack" also happened in China, which obviously means that "zombie-ism" is spreading all over the world. (Read the story here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/01/face-eating-attack-china-drunk-bus-driver-chews-_n_1641217.html). Yes, they now have a term for it : ZOMBIEISM or ZOMBIE-ISM, which means, acting like a zombie, which of course, involves superhuman strength and a desire for flesh. Because of these zombie news, there are even articles on how to survive the zombie apocalypse.
The other day, my cousin Marc and I had a bit of fun at Facebook where we discussed about the brain and brain cells. We were discussing how brain cells die everyday and that the regeneration is rather slow. Funny thing, scientists back then even believed that brain cells DO NOT regenerate -- which is rather creepy. Thankfully, modern science proved otherwise. Brain cells do regenerate but only SOME portions of the brain produce new brain cells. You can learn more about this here: http://biology.about.com/od/Brain/p/Regeneration-Of-Brain-Cells.htm
We further discussed (of course, our discussion was not serious) about the possibility of using up all your brain cells (as in 100%) since the regeneration or production of new brain cells is not fast enough. Now, if this happens what will become of this human? Our conclusion was that the human who used up all his brain cells becomes a zombie. Once he (or she) becomes a zombie, his first reaction is to look for flesh, most especially, human brains because his body is craving for it.
Now, our solution to the dying of the brain cells is to use our brains sparingly. LOL. A good excuse for those who don't want to study, students especially.
Well, if the zombie apocalypse is really going to happen, it's good to review those zombie movies so that you can get some tips on how to survive this event.
