INTRODUCTION I am not a Bible scholar and I don ’t have a PhD in Biblical Studies.  I am just an ordinary person who studies the Bible.  I will be posting some notes and thoughts that I have as I study the Bible.  I am all for a healthy discourse, however, I will not be a party to bashing, destructive arguments, and the like. I am open to a positive learning experience.   NOTES ON GENESIS 1 1.   As I started reading the Bible, I noted in verse 1 that “God created the heavens and the earth”.  There was no mention of planets, galaxies, and the universe.  In fact, the words galaxy and universe are not in the Bible.  The word planet was mentioned only once in 2 Kings. 2.  The first creation of God was light.  There was already Light on earth BEFORE the sun and moon were created.  In other words, we cannot consider the sun and moon as the MAIN SOURCES of light because even before they were created, there was already LIGH...

I am fond of personality tests since I want to know myself more. As most Chinese philosophers would say, knowing yourself is true wisdom. I recently "uncovered" a personality test site in the web, www.16personalities.com, and other than telling me what I already know (that I am an INTJ), I also found out that the "strategy" of my personality is Confident Individualism. Of course, to know what I am talking about in here, you have to visit the website yourself. The personality test presented in the website is eerily accurate, and most things (if not all) are so true about myself. Here are some things about Confident Individualism that are true about myself. 1. They often embrace solitude to pursue their own interests rather than seeking out social activity.
